TwoFrame Productions

Visual Identity

THE BRIEF

Nick and Tam met at university, built careers in TV, videography and editing, and eventually did what all great creative partnerships do - went out on their own. TwoFrame Productions launched in Bristol with a clear mission: to be the video production company that independent local businesses actually enjoy working with. Professional enough to be taken seriously, fun enough to make the process feel good - so they approached me to build a visual identity to match.

THE WORK

The brief was to find the balance between polished and playful - a brand that felt like a proper production company without taking itself too seriously. One of TwoFrame Productions’ key requirements was a logo that worked across both light and dark backgrounds, so I anchored the core colour palette in black and white - simple and versatile yet quietly confident. Two secondary colours provided the personality: royal blue for reliability and trust, lime green for freshness and energy.

The brand icon was where things got exciting. While creating the wordmark, utilising a bold sans serif typeface, I noticed the negative space between the R and A created a shape that naturally resembled a spotlight or light beam - a subtle nod to production and cinematography. I used that shape as the container for the brand's initials, TFP, turning a happy accident into the heart of the identity.

THE OUTCOME

TwoFrame launched their identity across social media, flyers and business cards to a brilliant reception. Nick liked the logo so much that he animated it himself - and it now appears on every video TwoFrame produces for their clients. Nick animating the logo himself might just be my favourite client outcome to date!
