Yoga With Polly

THE BRIEF
Polly is an independent yoga instructor with a simple but powerful belief: yoga is for everyone. As her community of students grew, she wanted a way to bring them together beyond the mat - and she had the perfect ethos to build it around. She came to me needing a t-shirt design to champion her catchphrase "you do you-ga" and create something her students could wear with pride.
THE WORK
I presented Polly with five concepts covering two different creative directions - character-based mascots versus something more symbolic. We agreed that sun, moon and star illustrations felt like the better fit for her brand: grounded, inclusive and a little bit of magic.
From there I built out the final designs using forest green to keep everything aligned with her existing website branding, with added pink for a pop of joy. The illustrations use bold, organic lines and halftone textures to give everything warmth and character, while a rounded, slightly bubble-like typeface keeps the whole thing feeling soft and approachable - because that's exactly what Polly's ethos is.
Then something wonderful happened - Polly loved the front t-shirt design so much that she wanted to use it as her new logo! What started as a t-shirt brief became a full visual identity. I refined the design for use across multiple platforms and delivered a brand guidelines sheet covering the logo, colour palette and typography so she felt confident carrying it forward herself.
THE OUTCOME
Polly is now selling the t-shirts on her website and has carried the visual identity across her social channels and branding. The final result captured her vision so perfectly that it outgrew the brief entirely - and personally, as someone who loves yoga and believes in everything Polly stands for, this one felt like a joy to work on from start to finish.
